What's Your Feedback on Bike Club Affiliations

5 comments:

  1. I am a member of "Adventure Cycling Association" which is geared toward the touring bicyclist. I will yeild to those who know more about the organizations Justin listed.
The second one -"People powered movement" appears to be a somewhat attractive advocacy group. I have been arguing for a multi-use pathway in conjunction with the proposed Zachary Taylor Parkway.

  2. I like what the Alliance for Biking and Walking has to offer as a whole. My second choice would be USA Cycling- which might give us more bang for our buck.

  3. I Personally like the League of American Bicyclists. This is the mission statement from their website.
To promote bicycling for fun, fitness and transportation and work through advocacy and education for a bicycle-friendly America.

  4. James,
I looked at the Adventure Cyclist site, man what a great page. It was full of so much info. Have you done any of the routes they have listed? I think there is a rail to trail rout in the Hattiesburg area. Have you ridden that one? I would love to see about getting a group together for some touring rides.

  5. I am interested in joining a bike club to have others to train with, but I am nervous that I wouldn't be able to keep up. Do they go at different speeds for different riders?
